Over the coming weeks there may be people in our community who need to self-isolate due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), or people at high risk who need to keep away from others as a preventative measure.
Although many people have family living locally who are able to help, others may be on their own or have family who are too far away to assist. We need to pull together so that no-one suffers needlessly through lack of essentials or through the loneliness and anxiety that may otherwise accompany isolation.
Laugharne Township Community Council, with Reverend Carys Butler, are developing a volunteer bank to safely support people who are self-isolating. If you need help, or if you can offer help, please contact: Rev Carys Butler firstname.lastname@example.org / 01994 427269 Cllr Roxanne Treacy email@example.com / 07972 924945
The next meeting of the council will be a virtual meeting on Thursday 21st May at 6.00 pm. The meeting will start will the AGM and then the Ordinary meeting will follow. New legislation allows the council to work in this way during the COVID 19 crisis. No members of the public will have access to the meeting, if you have any questions or issues please contact your local councilor or e mail the clerk Chris Delaney at lin.chris@ btinternet.com . No physical meetings will take place until further notice. It is likely that the next meeting will not be until July or even September. tTherefore the date of the next meeting is provisionally scheduled for Thursday 09th July 2020 in the Memorial Hall at 7.00 pm.
